Jean-Pierre Jeunet would be happy here.

Last night I discovered this awesome little club called Mind Pirates. Its located off Schlesische Straße in Kreuzberg, three courtyards back, inside a turn of the century furnace house. It takes persistance to find it but its sure worth the effort!

The upstairs area is quite cleaned up along with funky art around.

The main floor is the dance/performance area with the massive heavy lift winch hanging like a chandelier in the centre of the room. But now head dowstairs past the massive furnace and into the boiler room.
From this point on you're in the land of City of Lost Children.

The band from New Orleans, "Lady Baby Miss and the Tigermen"

Check it out if you're into the films of Jean Pierre Jeunet.

Cheers

Bergmannstrasse Festival

I recently woke up to this scene out in the street.

A beer tent, on the street, we're certainly in Germany.

The Bergmannstrasse Jazz festival setup shop on my street. Three days of music and food.

Later that day the crowds started to materialize ...

And stuck around for quite a while

Three days later and a rare sight was in view, a street full of parking spaces in the heart of a European capital.
